Camping and Boating Trip

We spent Fourth of July weekend camping and boating! It was great! It was Carys' first time to camp and she did super! She also loved the water and playing in the sand! Rob wake boarded and I am too chicken so I went tubing. We can't wait to go again! Even Burton had a good time relaxing in the sun. Yay for summer!

Carys in her cute little babyGap giraffe suit! Stylin'!
Burton... he had his own personal umbrella on the sand next to the lake.

The Fourth of July

Carys was in the Magna Fourth of July Parade on Grandpa Jeff's float for his plumbing business! She got to ride with her cousins, Gracie, Dawson, and Marlie and her Aunt Amy! She was happy throwing candy over the side of the boat until some people started shooting water guns and got her wet! Her surgery was just 2 days prior and she wasn't very happy, I think a little water got in her ear. Other than her crying for a few minutes, it was cute and fun! Then we had a BBQ at Rob's parents house and she was tired so she took a nap in her bathing suit on Grandma's floor.

Carys' Surgery

For the past 3 weeks Carys has been very sick. She has had chronic ear infections since she was just a few months old and they just never seemed to go away. After finally having her scream for 3 nights straight, even after being on antibiotics, we took her to an ENT doctor and he said we should go ahead and put tubes in her ears. We scheduled her surgery for the following Wednesday, July 2nd. What was really hard was just the weekend before her surgery I got Bronchitis, and now I have double ear infections! Its been a rough few weeks at our house, but Carys' surgery went nicely and she seems to be in little or no pain now, and my bronchitis is just about gone! Just another few days of ridiculous pain in my ears and then we hope to be all back to normal!

Here is Carys laying on Rob when she was sick. She loves her Daddy.
Such a sad girl.
Not happy at all. I think she knows what is about to happen.
Playing with a few toys right before the doctor took her in.
In the recovery room trying to get her to drink a bottle of juice and calm down. This was a really tough hour.

DaDa!

I took this video of Carys walking around for my family in Texas to see. It was filmed on July 1st. Its short, but cute. She is way good at walking now, sometimes she gets so excited she tries to start running, once she does that we will put another video on!
